100-word bio
Sarah Stones is a Motivation Specialist who spends her working life helping schools answer one deceptively simple question: what actually makes a pupil tick? Drawing on 20+ years in HR, a Licensed Practitioner qualification in Motivational Maps®, and her own experience growing up with cerebral palsy, she runs coaching, workshops and CPD sessions for students, parents, teachers and SLTs, with a soft spot for disadvantaged and high-ability-but-underachieving young people. She’s blunt that she’s not a “motivational speaker,” doesn’t really love being called “inspirational,” and would rather hand audiences something they can use on Monday morning than a round of applause.

Sarah Stones is a Motivation Specialist who spends her working life helping schools answer one deceptively simple question: what actually makes a pupil tick? Children, she points out, are not born disengaged; something usually gets lost along the way, and her job is to help teachers, parents and students find it again.
Drawing on more than 20 years in HR and a Licensed Practitioner qualification in Motivational Maps®, Sarah delivers coaching, workshops and CPD sessions for students, parents, teachers and senior leadership teams, with a particular soft spot for disadvantaged young people, those with special educational needs, and high-ability students quietly failing to achieve. She also brings personal insight few other speakers can: she grew up with cerebral palsy, worked closely with a speech and language therapist as a child, and knows first-hand what skilled, motivating support can do for a young person’s confidence.
