Being a parent is hard work. It is challenging.
Every parent wants to help their children be the very best version of themselves, but sometimes that’s easier said than done. As a parent, you want what is best for your child.
It can be incredibly frustrating when you know they are so capable and yet they are not interested in engaging in their school work and nothing you say or do makes any difference.
But what is it that motivates your child? If you have more than one, how come engaging one of your children is easier than the other?
We work with children from age 9 upwards to identify what makes them tick so that you can support them in the way that is best for them.
I spend up to 2 hours with you and your child, identifying what motivates them and providing simple, easy ideas you can use to engage and motivate them.
(This can be done face to face or via Skype/Facetime)
“I think that the best thing we can do for our children is to allow them to do things for themselves, allow them to be strong, allow them to experience life on their own terms, allow them to take the subway... let them be better people, let them believe more in themselves.”

"Hi Sarah, I just wanted to drop you a quick line to say how pleased we were with all you have done for us. The process of getting our son’s Motivational Map done was very easy ‘Plain Sailing’ you could say! It enlightened us as to how to communicate and incentivise him I’m not saying that we are finding that ‘plain sailing’, but then most 13 rising 14 yr old boys don’t have a manual but you have given us the next best thing."

How we work with children
Working with our Licensed Practitioners we will develop your understanding of motivation and the impact our motivators have on all aspects of our lives from what interests us to how we react to change and risk and what we take into account when making decisions.
We spend time with you and your child getting an understanding of them and provide feedback and a detailed report on your child’s motivators. The report will enable you to get a deeper understanding of your child’s needs to be able to support them more effectively and improve their engagement and motivation. Understanding your child’s motivators will enable you to understand how your child learns and how to communicate with them in a language that will engage them.
You will receive 3 reports – one for your child, one for you and a third report which can be given to their teacher which provides simple, easy to implement, strategies that can be used to improve engagement at school.
"I highly recommend booking a session with Sarah if you want to help guide and motivate your child!"

what happens next?
“Your children are not your children.
They are sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you.
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the make upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness.
For even as He loves the arrow that flies, so He also loves the bow that is stable.”
