Supporting Senior Leadership Teams

Are all your staff and pupils achieving their full potential?
What could they achieve if you were able to increase their engagement?
What effect would that have on pupil outcomes and overall school performance?
Knowing what motivates staff and students is critical to the success of schools and colleges – everyone achieves more if they are both motivated and engaged. Motivation is the “key to persistence and to learning that lasts. The challenge is to help each person clarify his or her important purposes and then to find, or create, the combination of educational experiences that lead to those desired outcomes” (Chickering and Kuh, 2005, p. 1).
We use our knowledge of motivation to support schools and colleges in a number of ways to:
- Improve pupil engagement
- Understand how to reach disengaged pupils
- Enable pupils, their parents/guardians and teachers to understand what they need to maintain or increase their motivation
- Support CEIAG and PHSE teaching by increasing self awareness
- Support SEND pupils. (I understand the many challenges faced by people with disabilities, as I’ve always lived with a disability. This has never stopped me doing anything I’ve wanted and been motivated to do and achieve!)
- Provide a low cost tool to measure pupil and staff wellbeing
- Help you to recruit, manage and retain engaged and motivated staff
Until now, it has been very difficult to measure motivation and to know what motivates individuals. We use an ISO accredited, simple, easy and affordable tool to called a Motivational Map®that generates reports that not only identify what motivates an individual but more importantly provide simple strategies we can use to maintain and improve their engagement. The insight provided through Motivational Maps® can support schools and colleges with leadership and management, teaching, learning and assessment and students with their personal development and career guidance.
“The motivational mapping exercise has given the team a much more creative and effective way to approach project planning and management. As a Manager, it has given me deeper insight and understanding of my team members”

Recruiting, Managing and Retaining motivated and engaged staff
We all know that as many teachers are leaving the profession as joining at the moment. We are at a crisis point.
We also know that teachers, along with all other staff, don't start a new role unmotivated. So what can you do to support all your staff?
We run projects, to support staff engagement and wellbeing. We use the Motivational Map® tool to support our work. Our projects are individually designed so we address issues pertinent to your school or team. We spend time developing an understanding of what the key issues to be addressed are, then work with you to deliver the appropriate combination of workshops, coaching or training for the team.
